Socker-Conny

Socker-Conny was created by Joakim Pirinen, a fabulous Swedish artist and cartoonist, in1983. One of the theatres in Stockholm produced a play based on the cartoon character. It was a great performance and I went there and when leaving the small theatre I passed just in front of the stage where Socker-Conny just had smashed someone in the head with a bottle; the fake bottle lie there smashed on the stage. I grabbed it and put it in my pocket where it stayed all night, while I went to different bars. Early the next morning, when I came home, I glued it to a piece of paper and now it's framed and hangs on my wall. Joakim Pirinen saw it once and said it actually looks a bit like Socker-Conny.... Mixed media, that's what it is.
