Financial matters
  Dag 1.gif

He is my mentor in many ways, he is ten years older than me
and aside from being an authority in the music business his
experience in life is vast - I always talk to him if I need to
discuss complicated philosophical questions.

One of the more vital things he has taught me regarding
financial matters is how to manage without a wallet.

Here in Sweden it is very common for men to carry big
wallets in their back pocket or in their jacket. Every time
something has to be paid it's a big deal; bring out the wallet,
take out the money or the credit card and hold the wallet until
the business is done.

In 1984 when I started to work with my friend I realized he
didn't use a wallet, he carried all his cash in his right pocket.
And in the left hand pocket he had all his credit cards. And
because of this you don't carry around other unnecessary stuff
like you do in a wallet.

I went to a big party last weekend and late at night I ended up
playing poker dice with my old friend Lars. He was losing (as
he usually is when playing with me) and after each game he
had to bring out his wallet to get more money.

For me it was easy, I just took
the notes I won in every game
and stuffed them into my right
hand pocket.
